A stain for BAF47 (INI-1) shows retained nuclear expression throughout the neoplasm. ---- The tumor is negative for cytokeratin CAM 5.2, EMA, and C-kit. No definite germ cell tumor elements are found in any area of the neoplasm and, specifically no definite endodermal elements are seen.
The diagnosis made was pineoblastoma with anaplastic/large cell features and divergent differentiation (Pineal anlage tumor) WHO Grade 4
