Case 2 History
The patient is a 4-year-old boy with a history of DiGeorge syndrome (22q 11.2 deletion), VSD, hypoparathyroidism, and lymphedema, who presented with a 3-4 week history of worsening headache and multiple episodes of vomiting. He underwent endoscopic third ventriculostomy with Stealth-guided brain biopsy; the specimen from that procedure did not yield a definitive diagnosis. Operative procedure: Craniotomy for tumor excision. ---- 2A1 This FLAIR exam shows a pineal mass with variation in intensity.
