6B2-5 This is a highly cellular neoplasm composed of monomorphic, primitive appearing cells with a high nuclear to cytoplasmic ratio, scant cytoplasm, and atypical irregularly shaped nuclei. The tumor shows some areas with rosette formation (Homer-Wright), however most the tumor shows solid growth with intervening vascular septae. Several areas of necrosis are seen in the resection material, and there are extensive calcifications throughout the tumor. Mitotic activity is brisk, with at least 14 mitoses/10 HPF.
