Case 7 History ---- The patient is an 18-year-old woman carrying a consult diagnosis of pineoblastoma. ---- 7A1,2 This is a hypercellular small blue cell neoplasm arranged in patternless sheets with focal papillary architecture. The tumor cells have dense hyperchromatic, oval to irregular shaped crowded nuclei with mitoses, and scant eosinophilic cytoplasm. Vague Homer-Wright type rosettes and occasional apparent perivascular pseudo-rosettes are present.
