Case 8 History ---- The patient is a 39 year old female, s/p resection of a pineal region tumor. ---- 8A1,2-Sections of the 3rd ventricle, pineal region lesion show fragments of brain parenchyma with adjacent highly cellular neoplasm composed of atypical hyperchromatic cells with minimal cytoplasm. There is focal necrosis, frequent mitoses and apoptosis.
