Case 9 History ---- The patient is a five year old boy with a third ventricular/pineal region mass and hydrocephalus. Operative procedure: Third ventriculostomy with endoscopic biopsy. ---- 9A1-7 Sections of the endoscopic biopsy material show an undifferentiated small round blue cell tumor composed of small, closely packed primitive cells with coarse chromatin and arranged in monotonous sheets without rosette formation. Scattered among them are numerous large gangliocytic cells.
