Immunohistochemical studies show tumor cells to be diffusely modestly positive for ACTH and show patchy weak positivity with LH. Scattered rare tumor cells are positive with prolactin and GH. Few mitoses are seen in tumor cells but in some areas Ki67 is relatively elevated reaching ~3.4%. ---- Comment: The overall morphological and immunohistochemical findings are consistent with a corticotrophic pituitary adenoma.
