Case 2 History ---- The patient is a 41 year old woman with a clinical diagnosis of pituitary tumor. Operative procedure: Biopsy. ---- 2A1-4 Sections reveal fragments of moderately cellular tissue with a spindle cell proliferation. The tumor cells are vaguely arranged in fascicles and have mild nuclear atypia with oval nuclei and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. Mitotic figures are not found. No Rosenthal fibers or eosinophilic granular bodies are seen.
