3B1 TTF1 Pituicytoma (Case 3) H&E 10X
3B1-6 Hematoxylin and eosin stained sections show a moderately cellular neoplasm with spindled and epithelioid tumor cells. Many cells show a granular eosinophilic quality to the cytoplasm. There are clusters of chronic inflammation, largely plasmacytic and perivascular, in between tumor cells. Mitoses are rare. Separate posterior pituitary fragments with abundant piloid gliosis and Rosenthal fibers are seen.
