There is patchy immunoreactivity for p16, a cell cycle regulatory protein. ---- Not shown: The tumor cells are negative for epithelial membrane antigen and desmin. The morphologic features and immunohistochemical staining profile is consistent with a high grade malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor.
