This is a cellular neoplasm that displays moderate nuclear pleomorphism, with the majority of nuclei being oval to irregular with variable hyperchromasia and scattered small nucleoli and abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. There is an associated inflammatory response, comprised of small lymphocytes and plasma cells. Mitotic figures are easily identified and there is focal necrosis. There is no evidence of microvascular proliferation. There is fresh hemorrhage and evidence for prior bleeding with scattered hemosiderin laden macrophages and foreign body reaction with multinucleated giant cells. (H&E)
