Sections of the 'left leg tumor' show a, heterogeneous, malignant spindle cell neoplasm with large areas of necrosis. The tumor cellularity is variable from paucicellular (and hyalinized areas) to hypercellular areas, the latter of which demonstrate a fascicular architecture and patchy myxoid matrix. There is moderate to marked pleomorphism with scattered bizarre cells. Mitoses, including atypical forms, are very frequent in cellular areas reaching a count of up to ~10-12/10HPF).
