Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS - CRANIAL AND PARASPINAL NERVEs | Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor (MPNST) | 1A1 MPNST, low grade (Case 1) MR T2 - Copy - Copy
Case 1 History ---- The patient is a 21-year-old man with a one year history of a slowly growing suboccipital and posterior paracervical soft tissue mass which shows MRI enhancement and interdigitates within the musculature of the posterior neck. Cerebral arterial angiography suggests that the tumor is hypovascular. An incisional biopsy of this lesion received a diagnosis of neurofibroma with plexiform features. Operative procedure: Excision.
1A1 MRI studies show a complex mass in these T1- and T2-weighed scans.
