Histologic sections show a hypercellular spindle cell neoplasm growing within multiple nerve fascicles, completely or partially replacing the endoneurium in some but not all fascicles. Cytologically, the nuclei have pointed ends, vesicular chromatin, and indistinct nucleoli.
