5A1,2 At autopsy this tumor was in continuity in the lumbar and sacral region with a perivertebral soft tissue mass. The cellular neoplasm is composed of pleomorphic epithelioid, occasionally spindled cells with variable amounts of eosinophilic cytoplasm, with numerous mitoses and endothelial proliferation. Focal coagulative tumor necrosis with pseudopalisading completed the resemblance to glioblastoma. (H&E)
