Case 18 History ---- The patient is a 34-year-old woman with a history of stage IIa squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix, treated with high dose radiation therapy in 01/2003. MRI now reveals a uniformly enhancing, T2 hyperintense, T1 hypointense, 1 x 1.6 cm mass within the left L4-5 neural foramen. Clinical diagnosis: Nerve sheath tumor. Operative procedure: Laminectomy for L4-5 tumor resection. ---- 18A1,2 The gross specimen is shown and is consistent with plexiform neurofibroma.
