The specimen was initially diagnosed as a hybrid benign nerve sheath tumor with features of neurofibroma, Schwannoma and perineurioma. The portion of the tumor infiltrating the DRG superficially looks like a perineurioma but has an unusual histological appearance for that diagnosis.
