Case 7 History (Second Surgery on the patient of Case 6) ---- The patient is a 26 year old woman with a history of an intraneural perineurioma (Case 6), who is status post multiple operations including: Carpal tunnel release, anterior interosseous nerve release, and tendon transfer. Despite intervention, the patient has lost all sensation in the medial nerve distribution and all residual motor function. Operative procedure: Resection of median nerve tumor. ---- 7A1,2 The surgical specimen showing the resected segment. The multinodularity as well as multiple more normal appearing fascicles is shown. The lesion is present in multiple sections, and is observed extending 6 cm from the proximal margin to 16 cm from the proximal margin (9 cm from the distal resection margin).
