Case 17 History ---- The patient is a 61 year old woman with history of shunting to treat normal pressure hydrocephalus and of lumbar laminectomy with fusion. Recently, she presented with progressive gait difficulties as well as bowel and bladder difficulties. Radiographic imaging revealed a large intradural extramedullary mass in the thoracic spine with significant compression of the spinal cord over several levels. Operative procedure: Thoracic T7-T10 laminectomy for tumor resection. ---- 17A1,2 External and cut surface of the neurosurgical specimen shows numerous nodules.(scale shows 1 mm gradations).
