18B1-3 The tumor cells are round to spindled in appearance. The rounded cells are small with some cytoplasmic clearing and have nuclei that are round, regular and hyperchromatic with occasional prominent nucleoli. The spindled cells have eosinophilic cytoplasm but do not have distinct cell-cell borders. The spindle cell tumor nuclei are elongated with rounded edges, have some irregularity, and have hyperchromatic chromatin with occasional prominent nucleoli.
