Case 19 History ---- The patient is a 27 year old man with a history of type 2 neurofibromatosis, multiple cranial nerve, cervical and cauda equina schwannomas and a 1.9 cm L4-L5 lumbar schwannoma. Operative procedure: L4-5 laminectomy for intradural lesion excision. ---- 19A1,2 H&E stained sections of the L4-L5 intradural tumor show variably cellular sheets of bland spindle cells, some of which are arranged in serpiginous interlacing structures, some Verocay bodies and others similar to pseudo-Meissner corpuscles, more common in neurofibromas but not limited to them. (H&E).
