Case 21 History ---- The patient is a 12-year-old girl who recently developed low back pain and unsteady gait. MRI showed a 3.1 cm enhancing intradural extramedullary mass at the level of the conus medullaris resulting in severe spinal canal stenosis. Operative procedure: Resection. ---- 21A1 MRI studies show a hyperintense mass with a T1-weighted contrast applied scan.
