Case 31 History ---- The patient was a 54yo female with NF2. Her past history includes right parietal-occipital craniotomy for resection of tentorial meningioma and subsequent gamma knife radiation therapy in March of 2008. The patient also underwent a posterior fossa craniotomy for resection of a cerebellar convexity meningioma s/p gamma knife radiation therapy 8/2008. The patient is also s/p a right frontal shunt placement. She presented with an intradural extramedullary lesion at the level of T12 with imaging concerning for meningioma. Operative procedure: Excision. ---- 31A1-3 H&E-stained sections show a well-circumscribed cellular, spindle cell tumor with large lobular whorl formation, thick-walled vessels, lobular whorls, and cystic spaces with pseudo-epithelial lining.
