Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 53-year-old man who presented with left radicular leg pain. Lumbar spine MRI with contrast showed an intradural, extramedullary solid and cystic rounded lesion measuring up to 2.2 cm along the ventral aspect of the thecal sac at L2, which demonstrates mass effect on the nerve roots. Radiological differential diagnosis included schwannoma, neurofibroma, myxopapillary ependymoma, and less likely meningioma. Operative procedure: Laminectomy and resection of intradural lumbar tumor. ---- 3A1-4 MRI examination in this case: ---- 3A1 A shadow of a mass in seen in this STIR scan.
