6B1,2 The specimens consist of a spindle cell neoplasm arranged in a fascicular fashion. Verocay bodies are identified in areas. The tumor cells have blunt elongated vesicular nuclei and exhibit mild pleomorphism. Hypocellular areas rich in myxoid matrix, numerous hyalinized blood vessels and areas of infarct-like necrosis are also present.
