Case 7 History ---- The patient is an eight year old boy with a right neck mass. Excisional biopsy was performed at an OSH with a diagnosis of schwannoma. Histological slides were subsequently reviewed by Dr. Scheithauer at the Mayo Clinic, who rendered the diagnosis "Schwannoma with extensive Verocay body formation." ---- 7A1,2 The majority of the tumor is cellular (Antoni A pattern) and shows prominent nuclear palisading (extensive Verocay body formation)
