Higher magnification of image #8B1. ---- Not shown: S-100 also stained the tumor. The neoplasm was EMA negative and lacked neurofilaments within the tumor substance. The multifascicular appearance of the tumor did not show expected EMA delineation of individual fascicles other than the single EMA immunoreactive surrounding the entire tumor. The Ki-67 shows a mitotic index that is low, less than 2%.
