The tumor is composed predominantly of hypercellular (Antony A) areas populated by bland spindled cells with definitive nuclear palisading and occasional Verocay bodies. Rare large, hyperchromatic, irregular nuclei are noted, representing degeneration. Only rare mitotic figures are identified.
