The tumor has nearly diffuse immunoreactivity collagen IV although the staining intensities vary among different regions. ---- Not shown: Stains for EMA, neurofilament, CD34 and smooth muscle actin (SMA) are negative. The proliferative activity of this tumor illustrated by the labeling index of Ki-67 is generally low with focal increases to a moderate level. The histomorphologic features and immunoprofile are consistent with a cellular schwannoma.
