10B LCH (Case 10) H&E smear 100X.jpg
An intraoperative smear shows the Langerhans cell population with typical clefts in the nuclei. The cytomorphology is best appreciated in the intraoperative smear preparation, where histiocytes appear in clusters of cells with moderate nuclear pleomorphism, reniform nuclei, and abundant flocculent cytoplasm.
