Case 16 History ---- The patient was a 26 year old man with panhypopituitarism and an enhancing hypothalamic/infundibular mass. Operative procedure: Craniotomy. ---- Sections of the neurosurgical material from the hypothalamus show fragments of neuroglial tissue with a dense lymphohistiocytic infiltrate. Eosinophils are focally prominent. No granulomas are seen.
