Perivascular growth is prominent in some areas (H&E) ----Other Immunohistochemistry (not shown): Neoplastic cells are positive for leukocyte common antigen and L26, a B cell marker. The neoplastic cells are negative for UCHL-1, a T cell marker. Many of the tumor cells express Epstein-Barr virus latent membrane antigen, a .common finding in AIDS associated lymphomas. The tumor shows extensive necrosis and a prominent perivascular pattern of growth. The brain parenchyma surrounding the tumor mass is gliotic.
