4C Encephalitis HIV, Vacuolar Myelopathy, Lymphoma (Case 4) CD20 2
Most of the "ghost cells" are necrotic B-lymphoma elements as confirmed by CD20 immunohistochemistry (and were negative for CD3). ---- Other neuropathology in this patient included HIV encephalitis and vacuolar myelopathy, sural nerve axon loss and mild neuronal loss and gliosis of the hippocampus.
