6F Lymphoma (Case 6) GFAP 1
There is a significant proliferation of reactive astrocytes (GFAP IHC) ---- The interpretation was that the patient had post transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) with multiple brain lesions and associated edema. The morphological, immunohistochemical and in-situ hybridization studies support a diagnosis of primary CNS non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, B-cell immunophenotype. The presence of EBER positivity and extensive necrosis is consistent with a primary CNS lymphoma arising within an immunosuppressed patient.
