8B1,2 Each of the grossly visible lesions showed an extensive lymphomatous infiltrate and areas of necrosis. The infiltrate is composed predominantly of large atypical cells, many with prominent cleaved nuclei, scanty cytoplasm, occasional nucleoli, and frequent mitoses. The cells are predominantly perivascular however there is diffuse infiltration of the surrounding neural parenchyma.
