Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (HEMATOLYMPHOID) | Lymphoma, primary | 16B1 Lymphoma (Case 16) H&E 4
16B1-4 Sections show multiple pieces of cortex and white matter involved by a malignant hematologic neoplasm. The neoplastic cells grow in a nested and cord-like fashion and have a prominent peri-vascular growth pattern. The neoplastic cells are large to medium sized and they have round nuclei with irregular nuclear contours. They have chromatin that shows variable clearing, and occasional cells contain multiple small nucleoli. Mitotic figures are present.
