The patient is a 64-year-old man with a recently discovered right frontoparietal cortical and subcortical enhancing mass that has increased FDG uptake on PET. There has been a mild response to corticosteroid therapy. Operative procedure: Craniotomy for excision. ---- This section shows the specimen consists of large amount of necrosis and a small area of residual tumor.
