Case 13 History ---- The patient is a 54-year-old man who presented with back pain with imaging showing lytic bone lesions. Operative procedure: Posterior T7 corpectomy. ---- 13A1,2 Sections of the thoracic mass and T7 bony tumor show sheets of plasma cells which are predominantly mature appearing with occasional enlarged and binucleated forms. Flow cytometry shows 78% of the total events are CD38 positive plasma cells with cytoplasmic kappa light chain restriction which are positive for CD56 (NCAM).
