6A1 Plasma Cell Dyscrasia (Case 6) H&E 2X
Case 6 History ---- The patient was a 42 year old man with L4 mass and back pain. Operative procedure: Not stated. ---- 6A1-4 Sections of the L4 mass show cortical and trabecular bone, cartilage and a neoplasm. Focal areas show a mixed infiltrate of predominantly small lymphocytes and plasma cells. Individual and variably sized clusters of plasma cells are identified. The plasma cells include mature and immature appearing cells. There are spicules of bone with osteoblastic activity and marrow fibrosis.
