Sections of the L4 mass show cortical and trabecular bone, cartilage and a neoplasm. Focal areas show a mixed infiltrate of predominantly small lymphocytes and plasma cells. Individual and variably sized clusters of plasma cells are identified. The plasma cells include mature and immature appearing cells.
