9E Plasma Cell Neoplasm (Case 9) ISH lambda
In-situ hybridization for kappa-light chains (9D) and lambda light-chains (9E) shows that the neoplasm is kappa-light chain restricted. ---- This histological/immunohistochemical/gene-expression pattern is that of a plasma cell neoplasm. Whether this lesion is solitary or represents a systemic illness (i.e. plasma cell myeloma) required clinical correlation. ---- Not shown: Reactivity for T-lymphocyte marker CD3 stains only scattered cells within the tumor-infiltrated soft tissue. Reactivity for the B-lymphocyte marker CD20 shows no significant reactivity within the soft tissue, but shows strong reactivity within the lymph node
