Case 4 History ---- The patient was a 44 year old man who presented with a seizure. Imaging studies revealed a contrast-enhancing extra-axial mass in the left frontal lobe. A smaller lesion was also seen more posteriorly. ---- 4A1 Sections revealed a dural-based mass which involves both sides of the dura and only focally spills out into the underlying brain parenchyma. The lesion grows in a vaguely nodular configuration interrupted by thin bands of collagen. The adjacent brain parenchyma shows only reactive gliosis. (H&E)
