10B1-4 There are areas with spindled to epithelioid architecture with focal calcifications and occasional whorl formation. Hyalinized vessels are present and numerous. A large portion of this neoplasm is sheeted with increased cellularity. Large areas of necrosis with focal pseudopalisading necrosis, microvascular proliferation and frank anaplasia are also seen with carcinoma-like and sarcoma-like cytologic features. Perivascular lymphocytic cuffing is also seen. Mitotic figures are prevalent and the mitotic index reaches 5 mitotic figures per 10 HPF in multiple areas.
