Higher magnification image (H&E) ---- Ancillary Data (Not Shown): There is patchy immunoreactivity for EMA. A stain for S-100 protein shows strong and nearly diffuse tumoral positivity. The tumor cells are negative for CAM5.2 and GFAP. The tumor is almost completely immunonegative for progesterone receptor. The Ki-67 labeling index is low to moderate, focally reaching 5%.
