25B Meningioma, anaplastic (Case 25) CK7 1.jpg
Immunoperoxidase stains showed strong and nearly diffuse immunoreactivity to CK7. The tumor is also positive for vimentin and shows weak or focal positivity for CD10, S-100 protein, and CD99. A stain for CD68 highlights macrophages. At the Mayo Clinic, the tumor showed some immunoreactivity for EMA, but this marker was negative in Calgary. Additionally, the tumor was negative for CK20, CEA, TTF-1, PSA, PSAP, HMB45, GFAP, CD45, CD68, bcl-2, CD34, actin, desmin, and smooth muscle myosin. Additional stains were performed at Washington University on submitted paraffin block material. A histochemical stain for reticulin shows dense intercellular deposition.
