Washington University Experience | NEOPLASMS (MENINGIOMA) | Angiomatous | 12A4 Meningioma, angiomatous (Case 12) H&E 4
Additional illustrative image.(H&E). ---- Ancillary findings (not shown): The tumor cells show patchy reactivity for epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) as well as progesterone receptor (PR) and demonstrate an elevated Ki-67 labeling index (~7%). ---- Comment: The overall findings are consistent with an atypical meningioma (WHO grade II). Select sections from the separate tumor at prior resection were compared with the current specimen and the histomorphology (including the grades) of these two tumors is distinctly different even though both of these are meningothelial in origin.
