Case 5 History ---- The patient was a 39-year-old woman with a past medical history significant for papillary renal cell carcinoma (5 cm), status post partial right nephrectomy in 2015. Recently, she presented with two weeks of headaches. MRI studies showed a ~ 3.9 x 2.9 cm T2-hyperintense, homogenously enhancing, dura-associated, extra-axial left frontal lesion with mild diffusion restriction, and no evidence of osseous involvement. Dural enhancement extends along the left cerebral hemisphere. Operative procedure: Left frontal craniotomy and resection of tumor. ---- 5A1-3 MRI studies show a hyperintense mass with FLAIR (5A1), T1-weighted contrast enhanced scan (note the dural tail) and T2-weighted image with contrast (5A3).
