16A2 Meningioma, Grade II Brain invasion (Case 16) H&E 1
This is a meningothelial neoplasm arranged in whorls and fascicles. In some areas the amount of collagen is surprising meriting a description as a sclerosing meningioma. Mitotic activity is increased (at least 7/10HPF). Sheeting architecture, small cell change, and hypercellularity are focally present, but there is no spontaneous necrosis or macronucleoli. Brain invasion is seen in multiple regions.
