Case 6 History ---- The patient was an 85 year old woman with a reported history of meningioma who now has a "malignant neoplasm of the cerebral meninges" in the parietal lobe. Operative procedure: Excision. ---- 6A1-5 The neurosurgical resection specimens show a hypercellular meningothelial neoplasm with areas of sheet-like 'patternless' growth, areas of necrosis, prominent nucleoli, and multifocal areas of brain invasion.
