An additional image of this neoplasm. (H&E) ---- Ancillary data (not shown): GFAP highlights brain invasion. EMA is focally positive in the tumor cells. PR is patchy positive in the tumor nuclei. Ki-67 proliferation index is overall low, but focally reaches up to 5%. ---- Comment: The collective features are consistent with atypical meningioma, CNS WHO grade 2. ---- FISH studies showed loss of 14q, which may be seen in higher grade meningiomas. ---- The diagnosis was made of atypical meningioma with brain invasion, CNS WHO grade 2
